In nutshell, I work on emerging/promising water treatment technologies and their performance in abatement of organic contaminants. I have been working in several areas such as : UV disinfection, UV based advanced oxidation technologies (e.g. UV/H2O2), and coagulation. I studied the impact of UV/H2O2 advanced oxidation process on biostabilty of water via developing a technique to measure the Assimilable Organic Carbon (AOC) as my M.A.Sc. thesis.

My recent studies are centered around Ion Exchange processes and I am trying to understand the mechanisms with which organic and inorganic species can be removed from the water.
